Dear Students (and other interested parties),
I am excited to meet all of you and look forward to a great semester! Tuscaloosa has got a lot to offer as far as enriching your German studies should you choose to explore it. At the very least you can enjoy a coffee and a pastry at the new German bakery. There are German movie nights, a German campus radio show, an active German Club and a German Honor Society. There is also a bi-weekly "Stammtisch" sponsored by the German House where a diverse group meets to eat and drink while discussing all things German. I encourage all of you to get involved at any level you're comfortable with. Learning doesn't just take place in the classroom (although, students, I WILL expect you to be there!).
